Block Puzzle takes the zen of falling-block games and removes the clock entirely. Instead of pieces dropping on their own, three colourful shapes sit in a tray beneath a 9 by 9 grid, and you place them wherever you like, at your own pace, with full control. The satisfying part is the clearing: whenever you complete an entire row, a full column, or one of the two long diagonals that span the board, every block in that line vanishes at once. Line up several completions in one placement and the score soars, because points are awarded by squaring the number of lines cleared in a move. It is a calm, thinky cousin of the Blockudoku family that rewards patience over speed, with eight distinct shapes dealt from a shuffled bag.
Tap or click a shape in the tray to lift it, then move it over the grid. Cells glow green where the piece fits and red where it would overlap, so you always know before you commit — tap or click again to drop it into place. Use the Rotate button, the R key, or a right-click to spin the active shape, and press Esc or Cancel to send it back to the tray. When you fill a whole row, column, or one of the two main diagonals, all of its cells clear instantly, and a single placement that clears several lines together scores ten points per line, multiplied by the number of lines. Every placed piece is replaced from the bag, and the game ends only when none of the three tray pieces fits anywhere on the board.
Not at all. There is no clock and no pressure, so you can study the grid as long as you like before every move. The only real opponent is the board itself: the game ends when none of the three shapes in your tray fits anywhere on the grid.
Any full row of nine cells, any full column, and either of the two main diagonals running corner to corner across the board. Every completed line vanishes at once, so one well-placed piece can wipe out a row and a diagonal in a single move.
Clearing one line awards ten points, but the scoring multiplies as lines clear together: two lines are worth forty, three are worth ninety, and so on. That is why patient players wait for multi-line placements instead of grabbing easy singles.
