Fruit Merge is a deceptively gentle physics puzzler where juicy fruits tumble from the sky and fuse into bigger, better fruit. Drop a cherry onto another cherry and they squish together into a strawberry; keep pairing identical fruits and you climb through grape, orange, apple, pear, and peach on the long road to the legendary watermelon. The genre exploded in popularity through hyper-casual mobile hits, and its appeal is simple: few things in gaming feel as good as a well-aimed drop that triggers a chain of cascading merges. This version adds satisfying squash physics, confetti bursts on big fusions, and a score system that slowly unlocks larger fruit the longer you survive.
Fruits fall one at a time into a narrow box. Move your mouse to aim, or nudge the drop position with the left and right arrow keys (A and D work too), then click or press Space to release the fruit. Whenever two of the same kind touch, they merge into the next fruit up the ladder (cherry to strawberry to grape and beyond), and each merge scores points. Merge several pairs in quick succession and a combo multiplier kicks in, so a carefully placed drop can set off a delightful chain reaction of pops and squashes. But the box has a red danger line near the top: if any fruit rests above it for more than a moment, the run ends. Start small, keep the pile low, and grow fruit responsibly.
The ladder runs from cherry up through strawberry, grape, orange, apple, pear, peach, pineapple, and melon to the giant watermelon. Merging to a watermelon is the ultimate goal, but bigger fruit also fills the box faster, so size is a double-edged sword.
Each merge you land within a short time window raises your combo, and the points from every merge are multiplied by it. A single well-placed fruit that knocks several matching pairs together is worth far more than slow, isolated merges.
A red line marks the danger zone near the top of the box. If any fruit rests above that line for about a second, the pile counts as overflowing and the run ends, so you must keep every fruit below the line at all times.
